Surf The Sewer, Google TiSP!

April Fools! Sorry it's a day late . . .

Sadly, no pranks were pulled on me this April Fools day. I was, however, told about a prank/ joke that Google pulled. A company like Google has the means to "do it big" in whatever way they want.

On the Google homepage, there was a link for Google Broadband TiSP(Beta). It's Google's new free in-home wireless broadband service. When you sign up you get the TiSP self-installation kit, which includes set-up guide, fiber-optic cable, spindle, wireless router and installation CD.
You just flush the fiber-optic cable down your toilet and a Google employee, or PHD (Plumbing Hardware Dispatcher), in a scuba suit will plug your fiber optic cable into a network hub. Then you connect your end to the free Google wireless router.

With only the minor drawback of wires sticking out your commode and a wireless router sitting on top of your toilet you now have free wireless broadband Internet!

The link isn't on the Google homepage anymore, and I don't know how long the page will be active, but you can check out Google TiSP here.
